Ethics and Antics is an ethical clothing company founded in 2015 by World Champion Freerunner & Ninja Warrior, Tim Shieff. His goal was to produce high quality street fashion clothing that represents a subtle and playful activist message for the wearer but without them feeling self conscious about the message being to brash.

As a company we are united in our passion for mindful living. Our clothing is designed for those that recognise animals equal right for life, our duty to the environment to purchase consciously and the rights of human's for fair working conditions.

Tim was born in the connecticut, USA before moving to Derby, England when he was 3 where he grew up. In 2009 Tim won the World Freerun Championships and in 2011 he won the Red Bull Art of Motion. In September of 2012 after watching Gary Yourofskys now classic Best Speech You Will Ever Hear he became vegan. Since then he dedicated himself to representing Vegan Athletes and in 2014 during an episode of American Ninja Warrior vs The World whilst captaining Team Europe on their way to victory he set the record for the fastest time ever recorded on Stage 1. In 2015 on Ninja Warrior UK he became The Last Man Standing

Ethics & Antics quite simply is our motto. We want to show that living ethically is about being playful and having fun as well. Yes there are some issues our generation urgently needs to address but we can have a blast and enjoy the process of transitioning to a new earth.

As you can see, our logo is a monkey with a halo. The monkey represents our antics. Humans natural animalistic, mischievous, playful side. Whilst the halo represents our angelic nature that we can tap into when we make the conscious choice to live more mindfully.

Our vegan clothing is Earth Positive and Climate Neutral. With CO2 emissions being up to 90% less than traditional clothing. Some products such as our Vibrant Earthling range has been printed on salvage garments, made from 40% Recycled pre-consumer cotton organically grown and 60% Recycled post-consumer polyester all mixed together into soft tees and sweaters.

All of Ethics & Antics and Ethics + Athletics clothing is printed locally in a factory based in London and one that we visit regularly. Each of the products we source has been chosen because they are ethically produced, carry the mark of the Fair Wear Foundation, and have a Labour Standard rating of 1.

This means:

  • No use of child labour
  • No use of forced labour
  • Safe and healthy working conditions
  • Legal labour contracts
  • Payment of living wage
  • Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
  • No discrimination against employees
  • No excessive hours of work

We hold human and animal rights at equal importance. Shop Ethically!

After a visit to Hugletts Wood Farm Animal Sanctuary and seeing the incredible loving work Wenda and Matt do for the animals, we decided that we would provide regular financial support with money raised through Ethics & Antics. Each time a purchase is made through our store you are helping us help them.

We thank you all for your support. You really don't need our clothing to represent your message so we thank you for helping us to continue to do what we love and we hope in turn we provide quality gear you enjoy wearing regularly!
